Department Overview Avigilon (a Motorola Solutions Company) is one of the fastest growing PCBA manufactures in BC, Canada. It has been a significant technology provider to Motorola\'s fixed video landscape globally. This job requires the candidate to work in the SMT area which is highly automated with some percentage of manual and semi-automated tasks.



In this role you will:

Verify Components according to the kit list

Do /Support Offline set ups to minimize downtime.

Perform Feeders and machine set up tasks and replenish component reels.

Basic operation of equipment, including screen printer, SPI machine, SMT machine, reflow oven and AOI machine

Improve / sustain equipment performance by reducing downtime and reducing changeover times

Inspect panels for correct component placement

Storing completed panels in appropriate storage area

Complete production documentation as required

Perform level 1 equipment maintenance tasks as required

Report machine and quality issues to Team Lead

Maintain proper 5S in SMT area (Workplace organization) to be more efficient

Collaborate with SMT engineers to identify improvement opportunities and implementing improvement ideas

Comply with Company guidelines, safe work procedures and regulatory requirements per Avigilon Quality System

Follow ESD safe handling practices

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

3 years or more or equivalent machine operating experience in an electronics environment is a prime requirement

High familiarity with key aspects of SMT equipment such as CPH/ Feeders/ AOI/ is desired

Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and training

attention to detail and operating parameters is essential

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a dedication to quality and safety Following direction while working with a team and maintaining a positive and respectful workplace Ability to use critical thinking and problem solving

Good communication skills and the ability to read, write and speak English
