Job Summary:
FLIR Integrated Imaging Solutions (IIS), a division of FLIR systems, headquartered in the Greater Vancouver area, BC, addresses mainly 2 growing markets: Machine vision for the largest part of our activities, and People Flow Analytics.

Regarding Machine Vision: we provide to machinery manufacturers or system integrators imaging products and solutions that are used for quality inspection, measurement, traceability, vision guided automation and robotics, as well as intelligent traffic systems. Regarding People Analytics: we are currently focused on Retail Analytics, and we provide imaging products and solutions that are used to measure retail customers traffic, customers queuing time, customers flows in the retail space; essentially our People Analytics products help to replicate the equivalent of web analytics in the physical world.

We are looking for a motivated, energetic, and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of SMT assembler. The work consists of inspection, testing and packing of final PCBA assemblies.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform work related to programming, testing, and packing of our product
  • Work with label printers, in-house tools & applications and routing machines
  • Perform final inspection on finished PCBA\xe2\x80\x99s to comply to IPC-610 requirements
  • Communicate and collaborate with supporting teams to address challenges and issues
  • Identify re-occurring issues/defects and escalate for proper attention
  • Report quality concerns and make suggestions for continuous improvement


Job Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to understand written instructions and operate automated machines used in electronics manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and understand Bill of Materials, manufacturing process instructions and Engineering Change Notices
  • Proficient and strong dexterity in using electrical tools and equipment
  • Strong Communication skills, both verbal and written English
  • Ability to continuously learn and adapt to new processes and trends
  • Team Cooperation. Strong attention to detail & focus on quality vs quantity. Be able to train and receive constructive feedback

Preferred:
  • Experience in Surface Mount Technology and hand soldering knowledge is preferred
