Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience working in a butcher shop or smokehouse Expertise in sausage-making fundamentals & familiarity with sausage-making equipment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment Comfortable working during peak grocery hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Role and Responsibilities:

Lead Smokehouse team to: Preparing recipe ingredients for sausage and smoked products Grinding, mixing, stuffing, hanging, smoking, and cooling of products Monitor product temperatures in controlled stages of production Package and display smoked products Team Member training and coaching Assist Meat Department Manager in inventory management and ordering Ensure all quality, service, and cleanliness standards are adhered to by Smokehouse Team

Position Details:

Position Type: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 2:00pm-11:00pm Location: Stony Plain, AB Wage: $18.00 - $23.00 / hour
