Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant.

Duties

Prepare ingredients for cooking by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring food items. Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and guidelines set by the Head Chef. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety standards. Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage and labeling of all items. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Assist with inventory management by tracking stock levels and notifying management of shortages. Participate in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes. Support bartending staff as needed during busy service periods.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred, with a focus on food preparation and handling. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a restaurant setting. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff. Leadership qualities are a plus, particularly for those interested in advancing within the culinary field. A passion for hospitality and providing excellent service to guests is essential. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
