About the Position:
This is a regular part-time support staff Bargaining Unit position reporting to the Dean, School of Applied Science, Engineering, Technology & Trades working 24 hours per week at an hourly rate of $42.39
The incumbent plans, develops, tests and implements laboratory procedures. Work in cooperation with the department coordinators of the Steamfitter, Carpentry, Electrical, and Instrumentation programs, and assist with OYAP and SCWI initiatives. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting all maintenance, organization, operation, design, installation, and planning of the various shop/lab facilities. They will be responsible for safety within the facilities' policies. Aids students in the safe operation of equipment and is in the labs during classes when additional safety support is requested by management. To assist the faculty in lab supervision under the direction of the lab faculty and management.
