Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Skilled Labourer with equipment operating experience ideally with pipe or civil work experience to join our team on our fast paced multi family development project. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, the ability to perform various tasks and be able to take directions. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with others. This position will contribute to the successful completion of projects with tremendous career growth potential for the ideal candidates. All work is in the City of Kamloops FirstAid Level 2 certification would be an asset.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of tasks including pipe laying, shovelling, raking etc. Operate compaction equipment and power tools safely and efficiently. Assist in the assembly and installation of structures or equipment as directed. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. Collaborate with team members to complete tasks on schedule. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors immediately. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to the job.

Skills

Proficiency in using compaction equipment, hand and power tools is essential. Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds). Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team. Knowledge of construction is required. Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
