Skilled Labourer

to join our crew -- someone who can work alongside carpenters, take on independent tasks, and grow into a leadership position.

Position Overview

The Skilled Labourer will support carpenters and trades on-site, complete assigned jobs independently when capable, and assist with material runs, site organization, and light coordination with the Project Manager. This is a

stepping-stone role

for the right candidate to grow into a

Team Lead position

.

Key Responsibilities

Assist carpenters with construction tasks, including framing, finishing, and general building work. Perform independent tasks when assigned, following plans and specifications. Pick up and deliver construction materials to various job sites. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site at all times. Communicate with the Project Manager regarding site needs, timelines, and progress. Assist in coordinating deliveries, trades, and scheduling on-site when required. Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and efficiently. Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in construction or carpentry support preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Ability to read and understand basic construction drawings is an asset. Strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in varying weather conditions. Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
