JCL is currently accepting applications for skilled Labourers with hands-on experience supporting bridge and marine infrastructure projects. These positions are located in the Clarenville area and are ideal for someone with practical field experience in construction and carpentry-related tasks
Responsibilities
Assist in the construction and repair of bridges, wharfs, and other marine infrastructure. Build and dismantle concrete formwork, and other structures. Support pile driving, deck framing, and installation of structural components. Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Work with a variety of hand tools, power tools and equipment used in building and concrete construction. Other general carpentry activities as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Basic carpentry or concrete formwork experience. Experience working on Bridges or Marine Infrastructure would be an asset. Knowledge of the safe operation of equipment and tools. Must have a strong understanding of safety procedures and policies on an industrial job site. Must possess a valid class 5 driver's license or above with a clean driver's abstract. High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to follow directions. Must be able to work collaboratively in a team and independently with little supervision.
