Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

What You Will Achieve In This Role:

The Skilled Laborer position will be responsible for efficiently and safely constructing outdoor living structures, particularly decks, with a Lead Carpenter. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work effectively within a team, take direction from supervisors, and prioritize safety while using power tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate power tools and equipment to construct decks, fences and other outdoor structures. Collaborate with team members to interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications accurately. Ensure accurate measurements and precise cuts to meet project requirements. Install and assemble wood and low maintenance related materials according to industry standards and company guidelines. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage of tools and materials. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate work activities and resolve issues promptly. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to minimize accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns courteously and professionally, with a focus on fencing projects. Assist with material pick-up and delivery as needed, ensuring accurate loading and unloading. Support other team members and perform additional tasks as assigned to contribute to the overall success of the project.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in construction, preferably in outdoor construction projects such as decks, railings, and fencing. Strong proficiency in using power tools and equipment safely and effectively. Attention to detail and ability to work accurately from plans and specifications. Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with supervisors and team members. Reliable vehicle required, as work locations will vary by job sites all over the city. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in all types of weather conditions. Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations and protocols.
