Jardeg Construction is recruiting Skilled Labourer, with Insulation experience team members to join the Cold Lake project. This is a temporary full-time position supporting the pipeline scope of work.
This will be on 10/4 schedule with priority to local candidates. Start date will be 1st week of April.
Candidates are expected to support Insulators Journeyperson with removing and repairing thermal and acoustical on all types of industrial equipment. Assist Journeyperson/Foreperson and perform a wide range of tasks at sites.
Responsibilities

• Ability to prepare canvas surface on piping, ducts and equipment; ability to install canvas on piping, ducting and equipment;
• Ability to Install end caps, tees and bevels; prepare a surface for installing PVC on insulated pipe; install PVC on insulated pipe; install metal on insulated pipe
• Ability to Install lags on pre-insulated equipment; Install extruded foam reducers; install insulation on underground systems; ability to recognize the methods of heat loss detection; install soundproofing systems; recognize insulation and air barrier systems, materials and their application.
• Ability to calculate the amount of insulating material required; calculate the amount of finish material required; calculate lag sizes and quantities to determine the required amount of rigid board insulation; ability to prepare orthographic and isometric drawings; Interpret mechanical drawings and symbols in a commercial system.

Minimum Requirements:

• Construction Safety Training System (2020) Certification
• WHMIS 2015 Ticket
• H2S Alive
• First Aid
• Valid Driver\xe2\x80\x99s Class 5 License (Non-GDL) and 3 years of Abstract

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous work experience in an Insulation Industry
• Insulator Apprentice Level 1-2.
