Position Overview

Nitro Construction is a full-service construction company providing both Construction Management and General Contracting services. We are currently looking for Skilled General Labourers to perform manual labour tasks including, but not limited to, loading, unloading, lifting, cleaning job-sites, moving materials and assist with a variety of functions throughout the course of a project's construction.

This position reports directly to the project's Site Supervisor.

Responsibilities

Perform construction demolition, repair work, preparation, cleaning, and maintenance as required.

Small framing tasks, installation of doors/hardware, and washroom accessories.

Pick-up and deliver material as required.

Lift heavy loads up to 70lbs and navigate construction job-site terrain.

Perform set-up and clean-up tasks at the job-site.

Perform general maintenance of construction equipment and vehicles.

Ensure work is conducted with proper safety restraints.

Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.

Qualifications

2+ years of continuous construction industry experience required.

Understanding of construction principles and procedures.

Comfortable working in a high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations.

Ability to work with a variety of tools and machines.

Preference given to those with current Standard First Aid, WHMIS, Forklift Operator Training, Mobile Aerial Platform Training.

Must have a valid Alberta Driver's License.

A positive attitude and work ethic is required.
