Job Overview

The Skilled General Labourer will support various phases of construction with hands-on experience across multiple trades. This role requires advanced knowledge in carpentry, framing, drywall, painting, flooring, and

millwork

. Ideal candidates will also be comfortable operating

power tools, saws, and other woodworking equipment

.

Key Responsibilities

Execute skilled labour tasks, including: Wood and steel stud

framing

Drywall

installation and taping/finishing Interior and exterior

painting

Millwork installation

(baseboards, casing, trims, cabinetry, etc.)

Flooring

(vinyl, laminate, hardwood, tile) Operate a variety of

saws and woodworking tools

(table saws, mitre saws, jigsaws, routers, etc.) Assist in custom millwork fabrication or adjustments on-site Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints Maintain job site cleanliness and organization Adhere to safety protocols and company standards Work with site supervisors and other trades to ensure projects stay on schedule

Qualifications

3-5+ years of experience in general construction or renovations Skilled in framing, drywall, millwork, painting, flooring, and general carpentry Proficient in the safe use of saws, power tools, and hand tools Strong attention to detail and high standards of workmanship Ability to follow blueprints and technical instructions Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials (50+ lbs) Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and in a team Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Nice to Have (Assets)

WHMIS, Working at Heights, or other safety certifications Cabinetry or shop-based millwork experience Ability to lead or mentor junior team members
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
