Prestige Homes, a division of The Shaw Group Limited has exciting opportunities for Skilled Labourers to join our talented, driven, and fast-growing team. For more than 40 years, Prestige Homes has been designing and building modular and prebuilt homes, multi-family complexes, as well as hotels and educational facilities. • Construction and completion of functional modular homes as well as installation and carpentry of modular home finishing components.
• Keep worksites clean to minimize hazards and disruptions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during construction, promptly address potential setbacks.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• Participate in safety tool-box meetings and progress updates on project status.

Qualifications:

• Commitment to safety in the workplace, including knowledge and practice of workplace safety procedures.
• Proficient in the use and maintenance of related tools and equipment.
• Strong communication skills
• Good organizational and planning skills; ability to prioritize workflow.
• Exceptional team skills, including the ability to work with others to develop solutions and implement improvements.
• Previous carpentry experience in a construction environment is an asset
• Post-secondary education, and/or hold a carpentry trade certificate from a recognized program is an asset.
• Knowledge of building regulations and codes considered an asset.
