Carpenter / Skilled Construction Technician - Residential & Light Commercial

Role Purpose

Independently execute assigned construction scopes on residential and light commercial projects. This role supports the Lead Carpenter and ownership by completing a wide range of hands-on work including carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and general construction tasks as required to keep projects moving efficiently.

Reporting Structure

Reports to: Lead Carpenter Works under direction of: Owner for priorities only when required
Primary Responsibilities

General Construction and Carpentry

Perform interior and selective exterior demolition Frame walls, bulkheads, soffits, and structural components per drawings Install doors, trim, hardware, and finish carpentry Install blocking and backing for subtrades Read and work from drawings and written scopes Complete punch list and deficiency items
Drywall, Painting, and Finishing

Hang, tape, patch, and finish drywall as required Prepare surfaces for paint Paint walls, ceilings, trim, and doors to a professional finish
Flooring and Interior Finishes

Install common residential flooring types including: LVP Laminate Engineered hardwood Carpet tile or glue-down where applicable Perform subfloor prep and minor leveling Install baseboards, transitions, and finish details
Job Site Responsibilities

Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites Protect finished surfaces and client property Receive, inspect, and stage materials and deliveries Maintain tools and site equipment
Coordination and Communication

Coordinate daily work with the Lead Carpenter Communicate scope gaps, missing materials, or site constraints early Work professionally around clients, trades, and inspectors
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
