skilled and qualified Skid Steer Operators

Skid Steer Operators

will have the opportunity to work on various projects across the

Greater Edmonton and area

and collaborate with our experienced team to build quality infrastructure, while maintaining a healthy and safe work environment.

Competency evaluations will be scheduled prior to hire.



Responsibilities



Operate skid steers in a safe and efficient manner, while maintaining proper care and maintenance of the machine. Load, unload and move materials, load trucks, excavation, and finished grading. Complete various landscaping and general labour tasks, such as grading, excavation, and site preparation. Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and construction drawings, ensuring compliance with project specifications. Collaborate with other workers, including construction crews and general Labourers, to complete projects within deadlines. Adhere to all safety regulations, including wearing proper PPE, following safe work procedures and reporting any unsafe conditions or practices. Communicate project updates, delays, and other essential information to supervisors, other workers and clients. Record keeping of work hours and minor equipment maintenance on

Nektar App*.

Requirements



Minimum 2+ years of experience operating skid steers in a construction environment.

Must be capable of finish grading topsoil

Previous experience on an Excavator would be an asset. Experience with other heavy equipment considered an asset. A valid and current driver's license, with a clean abstract.

CSTS2020, and Ground Disturbance Level II is a condition of employment.

Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team. Ability to take initiative, follow instructions and work independently in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and complying with all safety regulations.
