SNOW REMOVAL - Equipment Operator

Overview

Looking for seasonal, part-time (on occasion of snow fall) employee who has snow removal experience operating snow removal related equipment (skid-steer with bucket/blade). Pay will be based on experience and availability. On-call to work when required during snow fall. Must have good work ethic, teamwork skills, and safety focused.

This position requires a dedicated individual who is skilled in operating snow removal equipment and is committed to ensuring the safety of the community. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with various tools and equipment used in snow removal and a positive attitude.

Duties

Perform snow removal, loading and hauling with necessary snow removal equipment Perform general labour related to snow removal and seasonal maintenance, and assist with job site and related demands Collaborate with crew members to ensure efficient and productive operations Maintain clear communication with supervisors Follow all safety requirements and policies at all times Participate in jobsite and safety meetings and reporting

Requirements and skills

Experience operating skidsteer. 500 hours minumum Experience driving truck and trailer. Safety focused; able to work safely and stay alert at all times Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work Strong teamwork and communication skills Able to take instruction and work with crews to perform snow removal tasks Physical strength, stamina and coordination to perform various weather conditions Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Able to pass drug and alcohol testing if required Must maintain a courteous and professional manner with supervisors, co-workers, customers, and the public at all times Mechanical knowledge is beneficial

Qualifications

Valid Class 5 Driver's License CSTS and WHIMIS required Experience in snow removal or seasonal maintenance required Safety and construction certifications and other related training is beneficial
Potential opportunity for full-time, permanent position with concrete work during summer months.
