Job Description

Description:

To provide for and ensure a reasonably safe skiing environment. To provide on mountain assistance, skier safety, search and rescue support, trail work, lift evacuation, equipment maintenance, and other assigned duties.

Individuals will be responsible for all mountain duties (excluding first-aid) as required to facilitate the smooth and safe operation of the skiing environment.

Essential Functions:

Mountain risk management Search and rescue Avalanche search and rescuer Lift evacuation Equipment maintenance Training and development Toboggan handling Skier Education Trail work Lift operations breaks. Mountain sweep Snow fence and flag-line Maintenance of tools/equipment Carpentry

Experience/Requirements:

High school diploma or its equivalent. Previous experience working outdoors. Must be able to work in all types of weather. Chainsaw, heavy equipment, and snowcat experience an asset. Must be a proficient skier. Above average mechanical aptitude. * Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
