We are currently seeking a Site Supervisor to support KBL's Projects - North of 60.
Position Summary:
The site supervisor oversees the crew, safety, compliance, and procedures of the project site.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for overall site safety and compliance. Including reporting of incidents and hosting daily tailgate meetings with the crew.
• Direct equipment operators and laborers on daily activities.
• Ensure equipment on site is properly utilized, greased, and refueled daily.
• Work with surveyor to ensure grades, elevations and cut-fill balances are met.
• Oversee pipe fusing and pipelaying activities.
• Direct and schedule subcontractors on site.
• Able to read and follow blueprint and design drawings.
• Responsible for obtaining optimum moisture conditions when working with clay and gravel.
• Able to follow budget and maintain schedule proposed for each project.
• Ensure industry best practices are followed for tasks.
• Efficiently utilize a fleet of excavators, dozers, rock trucks, and compactors to complete earthworks.
• Manage a crew of 10-20 employees at one time.
• Supervisor would report directly to the area superintendent.
• Communicate with consultant, client, superintendent, subcontractors, and personnel.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in road building, culvert placement, landfill cell construction, landfill gas collection systems, mining, or other mass earth moving projects would be an asset.
• Ability to maintain strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate in a positive and professional manner.
• Must be able and willing to achieve company and project objectives.
• Must be capable of working long shift hours.
• Must be comfortable with heavy physical labor.
