What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a site supervisor who can join our renovation department and custom home department. The successful candidate will be a journeyman carpenter with a minimum of 5-years onsite construction experience and a minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisor role. The successful candidate will be able to identify problems, be forward thinking, solve complex problems and have strong communication skills. The candidate will be able to communicate effectively, while providing customer service to our custom clients. We are looking for someone with a strong passion for the industry and strong leadership skills. You must be willing to work on both renovation projects and custom home projects and work closely with our Project Managers and home owners.
Responsibilities:
Help with developing schedules with the Project Manager through strong communication. Work in collaboration with the management team.
Manages onsite labor team effectively
Overlook subcontractors and answer any questions they may have on site
Quality control checks throughout the build including window measurement, room measurements, any deficiencies, and communicate if any changes are required
Work through interior design requirements with trades on site to ensure interior design goals are achieved to a high quality
Ensure job is progressing as planned and identify any critical path issues and communicate with the Project Manager as needed
Ensure subcontractors have all of the information required on site
Assist in managing change orders process
Communicate with home owners as required regarding on site items
Overlook on site safety to ensure subcontractors and the team are working safely
Complete tasks that are required in a timely fashion such as back framing and other small carpentry related items

Qualifications

Carpenter or equivalent work experience
A minimum of 5 years experience with carpentry related experience
A minimum of 3 years experience in a management role
