We also own and manage several properties within the GTA and Hamilton. We are looking for an eager and passionate individual to join our team as Senior Site Supervisor. This position offers an excellent opportunity to advance your career with an experienced company. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the construction industry and processes. They should be capable of working independently, addressing questions related to the building process, project timelines and have excellent problem solving skills to assist when needed. Job Duties:
- Organizing, supervising, directing, and controlling day-to-day activities on the job site
- Creating strong relationships and ongoing communication with all trades, contractors, sub trades, designers and clients
- Resolving conflicts that may arise on site and ensure that everyone adheres to all scheduling constraints
- Constant communication with office staff to keep them informed of site progress
- Following up with trades to ensure job is being done according to the scope of work, and being in charge of ordering materials and coordinating deliveries for the trades as needed before and during the job
- Attending site meetings as needed with the project team
- Any additional duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
- Must be a handy individual, capable of taking on miscellaneous tasks at project sites and within our rental properties as needed. Carpentry background is an asset
- Minimum of 5 years of construction experience
- 5-7 years supervising similar projects
- A solid understanding of all construction techniques and processes and the ability to thoroughly interpret drawings and specifications
- Ability to work well with customers, trades, fellow employees and managers
- Highly motivated individual with the drive to contribute and meet organizational goals
- Good verbal and written communication
- Ownership of construction safety footwear and headgear
- Ownership of tools are an asset
- VALID driver\'s license with clean abstract and ownership of a reliable vehicle to commute to and from sites and the office
- Flexible schedule
- French not required
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Bonus pay
- Bachelor\'s Degree (preferred)
- Microsoft Office: 5 years (preferred)
