Job Description

  • Controlling the building of single-family homes in a busy, active environment.
  • Overseeing up to 20-30 homes at once that are being built as stock home models.
  • Scheduling suppliers and subcontractors strategically and conducting frequent progress updates
  • Ensuring that the entire quality matches the homes quality standard of our customers.
  • Doing tasks on time and within budget.
  • Monitoring the construction and operation of each custom house project to ensure that deadlines and budgets are met
  • Reporting to and assisting the VP of Construction on a daily basis.
  • Ensuring quality control in accordance with our Better Build principles at all phases of construction
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, including the walkways and signs, inside and out (as it pertains to seasonal weather)

  • 5 to 8 years of relevant expertise in the residential construction industry especially with Single Family homes, Townhomes or multifamily.
  • Experience in the residential construction site management is required.
  • Proven aptitude for leadership
  • The successful candidate will have a combination of knowledge and experience in the build of wood frame structures, managing trades, site safety, etc
  • A working knowledge of Alberta municipal/regional standards, as well as the ability to read and comprehend drawings and requirements
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, as well as the capacity to manage many projects
  • Being able to work with less supervision
  • Basic understanding with MS Office
  • Dedicated team member with a can-do attitude
  • Driver\'s License with clean driving record (required)
  • Personal tools as in a Carpenters apron and steel-toe work boots
  • Basic Computer skills are required
  • The ability to perform strenuous physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and working outdoors in all seasons
  • Confident conflict resolution abilities
Education: A University Degree (Architect, Engineering or Business degree) or College Diploma in a relevant field.
