Job Summary



Site super managing site, crew, equipment and deadlines.

Responsibilities and Duties



Field/Site Duties

Coordinate resources for the project site (i.e. equipment, products, tools, deliveries).*
Obtain competitive prices for purchase orders.*
Attend site meetings or other duties on site*
Review contract documents, drawings and specifications to maintain familiarity with assigned projects and ensure full understanding of documents.*
Operate various equipment if necessary.*
Maintain job-site files and prepare reports as required can include third-party inspections, progress, safety concerns and causes for delay.*
Understand thoroughly the plans, specifications, work schedules, cost estimate and scope of activities for all Jobs.*
Ensure the performance and production of the work.*
Ensures that all work and related activities are performed in accordance with the contract documents and above the standards set out for quality and workmanship.*
Ensures that all work is planned and performed in accordance with company safety policy including OHSA, local legislation and union agreement.*
Understand the scope of work and convey to subcontractors and field staff, types of work, material, including asphalt and curbs, accurate amount of required, number and thickness of lifts, method of payment (cubic meters, square meters of sidewalk or linear meters, etc.) and any other special contractual requirements.*
Ensure mix design have been reviewed and approved prior to mobilization.*
Ensure job orders have been prepared and properly distributed to foreman.*
Ensure time sheets have proper item and job numbers for billing and costing purposes.*
Ensure site is checked ahead of crews to ensure projects are properly graded and ready to start.*
Prepare and present the weekly schedule with input from operation, construction, and other staff to , complete with job numbers, project location and accurate mix types.*
Measure and communicate quantities for invoicing purposes.*
Ensure all extra work, including damage repairs, extra work orders, and T&M work are documented, signed for, and forwarded to the office for invoicing.*
Lead weekly meeting.*

Management and Operational Duties

Provide crew guidance and mentoring to staff and identify upcoming stars*
Ensure vehicle mileage, equipment hours and equipment fuel are reported accurately to the office on a weekly basis*
Review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivated work environment, and creating innovative approaches for improvement*
Oversee day-to-day operations, assigning weekly performance goals and assuring their completion, while accomplishing your own goals*
Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished on time*
Delegate responsibilities to the best employees to perform them while enforcing all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and values*
Consult with owner, managers, sub-contractors and consultants to resolve day-to-day issues.*
Facilitating meetings as necessary to ensure smooth company operation, document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings; assign tasks to project team as needed*

Safety and Training

Coordinate all efforts and all related paperwork to MAINTIAN COR certification.*
Ensure compliance of DiGregorio's Health and Safety Policy*
Ensure PPE is worn at all times when on a Jobsite*
Complete Incident/Accident forms within 24-hour period*
Attend monthly safety talks at the Head Office*
Attend and participate in Manager and Supervisor Safety Meetings*
Have valid locates on site at all times*
Ensure the completion and sending of all safety related paperwork once a week to the office*
Assist with Health and Safety Documentation required under the Certificate of Recognition by illustrating Continuous Improvement*
Promote safe operation of equipment and commercial vehicles*
Keep up to date on government policies, procedures, legislative requirements pertaining to carrier monitoring, safety rating, operator requirements and transportation*
Other duties as determined by DiGregorio Group*

Qualifications and Skills



Able to read and understand specifications Able to read s and understand drawings Min 5 years in municipal road , sewer and water main. Experience with infrastructure industry
