White's Mechanical & Fabrication is a 24/7 service provider dedicated to quality and customer service. We specialize in millwrighting, custom fabrication, machining, and turn-key design and installation services.
We are currently looking to hire a full-time
Site Supervisor
to oversee day-to-day site operations. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a seasoned
millwright
who enjoys mentoring others, solving problems, and working directly with tools and equipment.
Report To
The Site Supervisor reports directly to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities and Duties
Leadership and Communication:
Lead onsite crews and ensure all job information is clearly communicated
Act as the main point of contact between job owners, customers, and management
Provide daily updates on progress, issues, and resource needs
Mentorship and Employee Oversight:
Mentor apprentices and junior tradespeople
Identify skill gaps and recommend training where needed
Address site-level questions and ensure tasks are executed properly
Support a positive, team-oriented work environment
Planning and Quoting:
Support estimating by reviewing job scopes and providing input on labor and material needs
Work with the office to ensure quotes are accurate and timelines are realistic
Attend site visits and walkthroughs when required
Hands-On Trade Work:
Work alongside the crew to complete mechanical installations, rigging, troubleshooting, and shutdown support
Ensure the right tools and equipment are onsite, working, and being used safely
Quality and Safety:
Monitor job quality and ensure all work meets company and client standards
Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
Complete pre-job safety paperwork and participate in toolbox talks
Qualifications
Red Seal Millwright
certification (421A or equivalent)
10+ years of experience as a millwright, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
Experience with equipment installations, shutdowns, and plant maintenance
Competent in rigging, troubleshooting, and mechanical layout
Basic welding and fabrication skills considered an asset
Able to read and interpret mechanical and fabrication drawings
Strong communication and time management skills
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Comfortable working at industrial customer sites (travel required)
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule:
9-hour shifts, Monday to Friday (overtime and weekends as required)
