Job Description

SNR Construction, a wholly owned division of Shindico Realty, is hiring a Site Superintendent

to lead the on-site execution of commercial, light industrial, and multi-family construction projects. As one of Manitoba's fastest-growing general contractors--with a pipeline of approved and funded developments in excess of $100 million--this is a rare opportunity to join a vertically integrated real estate company building the province's future.

We are looking for an experienced construction leader with a proven track record of managing trades, schedules, and site operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational and problem-solving skills to oversee all on-site activities from mobilization through closeout. You'll work closely with project stakeholders and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard of quality.

This role is best suited for a hands-on leader who thrives in dynamic environments, sets a high bar for workmanship, and builds trust across job sites.

Key Responsibilities



Provide overall leadership and day-to-day site management Champion a safe work culture and enforce site safety programs Direct all field operations in accordance with project schedules Liaise with consultants, clients, trades, and AHJs to maintain effective communication Coach and mentor field staff to foster a team-based culture Collaborate on constructability reviews, schedule planning, and value engineering Troubleshoot site issues; prepare RFIs with solution-based thinking Conduct regular site safety and quality inspections Implement and refine QA/QC procedures and enforce site cleanliness Identify deficiencies in workmanship or materials and coordinate rework

What You Bring



5+ years of supervisory experience in light industrial, commercial, or multifamily construction Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Background in carpentry, engineering, or related construction disciplines Familiarity with Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health legislation, trade definitions, permitting, and inspections COR experience and knowledge of Lean Construction / Last Planner System an asset Competence in operating site equipment (e.g. skid steers, aerial lifts, generators) Valid Class 5 driver's license with reliable transportation
