Lubec Construction Ltd. is a fast-growing Construction Management Company located in Victoria, British Columbia that specializes in multi family construction across both Alberta and British Columbia. We are founded and structured on a model which affords us a greater capacity to respond quickly to the needs of our clients; resolve issues with minimal to no interruption in the construction schedule, and complete projects that exceed our clients' expectations. As we expand, we are looking for a dynamic, dedicated, organized, and hardworking Site Superintendent to complete two wood frame Townhouse projects located in Victoria, BC. This position is considered full-time and a permanent position.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to create and follow the project schedule with updates maintained on a weekly basis. Review the project plans and specifications and comment on the building design, scheduling, possible cost savings measures and potential construction problems. Keep up to date with RFI's and Site Instructions Keep up to date with submittals Review and accept the general conditions budget Assemble the job site office and equipment requirements Have confidence in own ability to intelligently communicate with design team/client as well as effectively lead the trades. Contact, Schedule and coordinate all subcontractors, suppliers and utilities. Raise and discuss relevant issues at the job site meetings. Inform the Project Manager of any errors, discrepancies or omissions contained within the Consultant design drawings. Coordinate and direct independent testing and inspections as required. Maintain and enforce good construction standards and quality control. Maintain a SAFE WORK SITE under Lubec Construction Safety Policy Maintain control and responsibility for the security and operation of Lubec's directly owned equipment on the job site. Control and monitor labor, material and equipment expenses. Assist in preparation of the monthly forecasting summaries. Ensure that "As-Built" drawings are prepared on an ongoing basis by all trades during the construction period. Coordinate all required municipal inspections. Prepare and expedite project deficiency lists. Ensure site opening and lock-up is completed each day. Must be willing to work more than 40 hours per week if the job requires it including Saturdays. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 10 years experience in all phases of multi family residential construction Minimum 5 years experience in Site Superintendent role in multi-family residential construction. Experience with Concrete and Wood Construction, Civil and Excavation, and Exterior Envelope. Experience Operating Skid Steers and Zoom Booms is an asset. Must be proficient with computers including Microsoft Excel, Word and Project. Experience using AutoDesk Construction Cloud Software is an Asset. Red Seal Carpenter Certificate is an asset. Proof of Valid Drivers License with Clean Drivers Abstract is a must. Level 2 First Aid is an asset. Ability to work according to deadlines and prioritize workload. Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements. Possess strong organizational and time management skills. Create and maintain positive relationships with team, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
