Dawn Construction is a full-service general contractor delivering commercial, institutional, residential, and light industrial construction projects across British Columbia. With a growing portfolio we're seeking a Site Superintendentto support the successful delivery of an upcoming wastewater conveyancing project.
Position Overview
This is a leadership role focused on the day-to-day management of a technically diverse and community-focused infrastructure project. The successful candidate will be responsible for site-level oversight, coordination of trades and suppliers, and ensuring that safety, quality, and schedule standards are upheld throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities
Lead on-site construction activities for civil infrastructure project.
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and consultants in collaboration with the Project Manager.
Enforce safety protocols and environmental standards in accordance with WorkSafeBC and project-specific requirements.
Maintain daily site documentation and progress reports using Procore.
Facilitate weekly lookahead schedules and ensure schedule adherence across disciplines.
Conduct regular site meetings with trades and stakeholders, addressing issues proactively.
Collaborate respectfully with Indigenous partners and promote a professional, inclusive work environment.
Provide leadership to the site team and mentor junior staff.
Candidate Requirements
Minimum 5
years of experience
as a Site Superintendent or equivalent in civil and infrastructure construction.
Experience with pre engineered bridge construction, mechanical/electrical coordination (e.g., pump stations), or similar is preferred.
Sewage Treatment plant experience an asset
Strong working knowledge of health and safety regulations and construction best practices.
Proficient with construction management platforms, especially Procore.
Experience on Indigenous-led projects or working in remote communities is an asset.
Valid Class 5 Driver's License and ability to travel or stay near the project site as needed.
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and pass a background/security check.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: $110,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
