Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced

Site Superintendent / Supervisor

to lead the day-to-day field operations on large-scale

Institutional, Commercial, and Industrial (ICI)

projects. The successful candidate will oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. You'll coordinate trades, enforce safety compliance, and drive project performance in alignment with Rafat's culture of accountability and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Direct and supervise daily on-site construction activities and subcontractors. Plan and coordinate work sequences to meet project milestones and deadlines. Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and project schedules. Maintain site documentation including daily reports, site logs, and safety records. Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, company policies, and quality standards. Conduct site meetings and coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Consultants. Verify materials, deliveries, and workmanship against specifications and standards. Identify and resolve field conflicts promptly to avoid schedule impacts. Lead and mentor field staff, labourers, and trade foremen. Collaborate closely with the mechanical and electrical trades to ensure integrated project delivery. Participate in project planning, look-ahead scheduling, and quality control inspections.

Qualifications

10+ years of site supervision experience in

ICI or large municipal building construction

. Proven track record managing projects

$20M-$120M

, including recreation centers, community facilities, schools, or transit/infrastructure buildings. Strong technical understanding of

structural concrete, building envelope, interior finishes, and M&E coordination

. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in reading drawings, schedules, and construction software (Procore, MS Project, or equivalent). Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites. Gold Seal, PMP, or other supervisory certifications considered an asset.
