About our Client

A known and trusted name in real estate development. The develop great project in residential and ICI areas but the upcoming projects are high-rise residential focused. Most importantly they build their own projects (no outside GC). They want to grow the team with hard working results driven people who can continue to grow the company's reputation for success and delivering a great product.

About the Opportunity

You will join this project during the excavation stages and see it through its multiple levels of underground parkade and up over 40 stories. You will lead and be supported by a team including a Finishing Superintendent, CSO, Foreperson, and Labourers. You will also worked closely with the Project Management team and the VP of Construction.

Summary of Duties

• Lead the project as Superintendent from excavation through to occupancy
• Closely manage the trades through scheduling, meetings and on-site leadership
• Keep a close eye on the budget with relation to the site needs including labour, materials and items that can drag out the schedule
• Ensure safety is made a priority on site and work with the CSO to set up an efficient but safe workplace
• Work closely with the consultants and the Project Management team to address any construction & design challenges
• Mentor your support team
• Complete the necessary daily site documentation
• Stay ahead on the drawings to find and address construction issues before they arise on-site

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in construction and minimum 3 years as a Site Superintendent in high-rise concrete construction
• Minimum 1 completed high-rise taken from start-finish
• Advanced ability in reviewing and understanding blueprints
• A work hard mentality who will fit in in a supportive & fun but committed culture
• Comfortable with current construction software (company uses Bluebeam)

Compensation

• Salary of $140,000 - $160,000 (no contract relationships)
• 3 weeks of vacation
• Discretionary bonus based on performance
• Strong benefits plan (after 3 months)
• RRSP plan entry after 1 year
• T2200 provided
