About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced

Site Superintendent

to oversee the construction of a ground-up retail project. The ideal candidate has a proven track record managing commercial

construction projects from start to finish, with strong leadership, communication, and scheduling skills. This is a

contract position

based on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all on-site construction activities to ensure work is completed safely, on
schedule, and to quality standards.

Coordinate and supervise all trades, subcontractors, and site staff. Maintain daily project documentation, including site reports, safety logs, and progress
photos.

Work closely with the Project Manager and consultants to resolve site issues and
maintain project timelines.

Conduct site meetings, inspections, and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications,
and building codes.

Promote and enforce health and safety standards on-site. Oversee materials delivery, site logistics, and quality control.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent in commercial construction. Experience with

ground-up retail or commercial projects

is a strong asset. Solid understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and BC Building Code. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and coordination abilities. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. CSTS, WHMIS, and First Aid certifications considered an asset.
