Nickel concentrate from the fly-in, fly-out Voisey\xe2\x80\x99s Bay operation is shipped to our state-of-art Long Harbour Processing Plant where it is refined into low-carbon and high-purity nickel rounds, cobalt rounds, and copper cathodes.The Operational Services team oversee the effective handling of inbound and outbound containers, material movement, road and plant maintenance, general cargo, finished product, site access, fleet management lime and fuel as well as transfer and storage of those material at Long Harbour . They enforce and implement safety programs (i.e.: Golden Rules, Toolbox Talks, CRM/LIF Audits, etc.) to help prevent accidents before they occur. They also work collaboratively with other disciplines and support where needed.The OpportunityWe are currently seeking a Site Services Student to join our Operational Services Team in Long Harbour, NL. This fixed term position will be on a 4x10s schedule (Monday to Thursday OR Tuesday to Friday)/Monday to Friday schedule working at the Long Harbour Operations site in Long Harbour, NL.As an Operational Services Student you will have the opportunity to further your development by providing day-to-day support for various projects and initiatives within the Operational Services Department. From working alongside Facilities Coordinators and Planner/Scheduler to assist with a wide variety of tasks related to Facilities support for the Long Harbour plant to leadership development, diversity & inclusion, and culture, you will have a holistic and enriching experience like no other.Additionally, in this position, you will:

• Support the Home Safe Model of risk and hazard management and lead by example.
• Material management \xe2\x80\x93 Bill of materials reviews, order part, and assist in stock coding of spare parts.
• Planning and scheduling support including working with SAP.
• Support the implementation of a Continuous Improvement (lean) mindset.
• Support site access card system.
• Support Container management system.
• Provide support to Facilities coordinator.
• Other duties as required at discretion of Facilities Superintendent

About YouEducation:

• Currently enrolled as a student in a Bachelor of Commerce (Co\xe2\x80\x93op) program

Skills:

• Time management skills to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, safely, and efficiently.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong proficiency in Excel is an asset.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
