Job Description

Waiward Construction Management is seeking an experienced

Site Safety Advisor

to support our upcoming industrial earthworks project. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safety of all personnel and compliance with company and client safety standards.

Responsibilities:



Implement and monitor the site-specific Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) plan. Conduct regular site inspections, hazard assessments, and safety audits. Provide coaching, mentorship, and guidance to site supervisors and workers. Facilitate safety meetings, orientations, and toolbox talks. Investigate incidents, near misses, and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with OH&S regulations, client requirements, and company policies. Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of all safety-related activities.

Qualifications:



Minimum

5+ years of safety experience

in

heavy civil and industrial construction.

Strong knowledge of earthworks and heavy equipment operations. Occupational Health & Safety certification (e.g., CRSP, NCSO, CSO, or equivalent) preferred. Proven ability to engage with crews and foster a strong safety culture. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: From $45.00 per hour
