With the support of our leadership team and peers, our people are encouraged to share their perspectives.Job PurposeThe HSE Administrator supports the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) department by maintaining, organizing, and managing records and documentation related to health, safety, and environmental compliance. This role assists in ensuring workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship across all company operations. Responsibilities:

  • Displays a strong commitment to Waiwardxe2x80x99s incident-free vision, values, and safety culture.
  • Inputs all site-related incidents into the safety tracking spreadsheet accurately and promptly.
  • Assists the Safety Team with preparing HSE-related documentation and fulfilling KPI deliverables as requested by clients.
  • Supports timesheet creation, review, and submission processes.
  • Coordinates and maintains HSE staff schedules.
  • Attends weekly and monthly safety meetings, taking clear and actionable minutes.
  • Supports the onboarding team with craft management, assignment allocation, and payroll package preparation.
  • Delivers employee safety orientations as needed.
  • Assists in planning, scheduling, and coordinating HSE-related training courses and programs.
  • Manages scheduling and ordering for A&D testing when required.
  • Supports case management by coordinating appointments and bookings.
  • Compiles and inputs data for statistical reporting on a weekly basis.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all personal and sensitive information.
  • Performs other HSE-related administrative duties as required to support site safety
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma and at least 2 years of administrative or related experience in the construction industry; HSA designation preferred.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • CSTS 2020 with a valid Class 5 Driver's License and clear/current Driverxe2x80x99s Abstract.
  • Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol test is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with construction safety regulations, workplace hazard assessments, or documentation standards for HSE compliance.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive/confidential information professionally.
Working ConditionsThe HSE Administrator will primarily work in an active construction site, fabrication facility, or a client oil/gas site, which requires adaptability to moderate noise levels, and extreme temperatures, and various potential hazards, including heavy equipment operation and moving machinery.The incumbent must be prepared to walk outdoors in inclement weather, including winter conditions and slippery surfaces, and may occasionally need to carry moderate loads.Additionally, the role requires regular driving between locations and the ability to function effectively in an office environment for administrative tasks.Physical RequirementsThe incumbent is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: viewing a computer terminal for extended periods of time; and extensive reading. The incumbent is also required to stand and sit for extended periods of time and will require good physical attributes for walking on uneven ground, climbing, confined space entry, limited lifting, and sitting.Direct ReportsNone*Waiward is an equal opportunity employer.
