Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to lead our construction team on-site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring project milestones are met, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the construction process. This role requires strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of construction practices, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Journeyman Carpenter Certificate or equivalent experience is an asset. You should be able to manage a crew of 12+ carpenters and laborers. The Forman will be able to prioritize tasks and safely manage the crew for tasks onsite.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of construction crews to ensure efficient workflow. Review project plans, blueprints, and schematics to understand project requirements and specifications. Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes. Utilize construction management software such as ProCore for project tracking and documentation. Prepare construction estimates and budgets, ensuring projects remain within financial constraints. Train and mentor team members in best practices for construction techniques and safety protocols. Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs and reports.

Skills

Proficient in construction estimating and budgeting practices. Strong knowledge of quality control measures in the construction industry. Experience supervising teams in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with construction management software such as Bluebeam and ProCore. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders. Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges that arise on-site.

Pay: $39.00-$43.00 per hour
