The Company

Our West GTA client is recruiting for a Site Controller to lead day-to-day accounting and manage the month end close. This role will initially be 100% onsite but there is eventual hybrid flexibility for 1-2 days/week to work from home.

The Role

The Site Controller reports to the Canadian Corporate Controller and supervises a small team. The Site Controller is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions of the company. In this role, you will prepare the company\'s financial plans and policies, accounting practices and the maintenance of accounting records. You will also prepare all financial reports. You are also responsible for cash management and variance analysis. You will work closely with the Business Unit\'s Operations and Sales Teams to manage financial results.

About You

You are a designated CPA or in the late stages of the CPA program. You have 5+ years of strong accounting and month end close experience. While controllership experience is an asset, our client is open to considering strong Senior Accountants who are ready for the promotion to Controller. You should come from one of the following industries: manufacturing, distribution, retail or logistics. You are a strategic thinker with the confidence to question information and push back on Operations management when required.

Requirements
  • CPA designation or late stages of the CPA program
