APM MacLean would like to invite qualified, enthusiastic individuals to apply for the following career opportunity: Site Clerk (Project Coordinator) PURPOSE: The Site Clerk (Project Coordinator) provides support to the Site Superintendent and Project Manager in coordinating, assessing and interpreting information/data originated by engineering, clients, sub-contractors, construction and the head office. The incumbent coordinates and monitors the activities of assigned contractors performing work within the construction disciplines and ensures compliance with project safety, quality and schedule, cost, and security requirements. \xc2\xb7 Assist the Site Superintendent and/or Project Manager in the day-to-day duties of project administration \xc2\xb7 Collect, prepare and distribute contract administration paperwork \xc2\xb7 Liaise and coordinate with consultants and Trade Contractors \xc2\xb7 Address and solve day-to-day project coordination challenges \xc2\xb7 Collect, analyze and submit reports for project management as required by the project \xc2\xb7 Assist in the preparation of information to be submitted for the weekly and monthly construction reports \xc2\xb7 Attend and contribute information during team meetings with regards to current and outstanding issues and the weekly progress \xc2\xb7 Prepare meeting minutes and distribute them. \xc2\xb7 Submit cost coded invoices which have business unit expenditures to the Project Manager for approval \xc2\xb7 Handle field purchase orders; assist Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable at head office \xc2\xb7 Ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instructions \xc2\xb7 Act as a liaison with Trade Contractors and Consulting Team in expediting drawings and related information \xc2\xb7 Coordinate submittals and procure all close-out documents \xc2\xb7 Arrange and coordinate training for end user staff \xc2\xb7 Assist in the preparation of \xe2\x80\x9cLessons Learned\xe2\x80\x9d sessions \xc2\xb7 Participate in project, proposal or functional meetings. Create an Action log and follow-up with the responsible persons for close-out of action items \xc2\xb7 Maintain site safety and clerical paperwork and filing The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS: \xc2\xb7 Ensure APM safety requirements are carried out at ALL times \xc2\xb7 Ensure that contract administration paperwork, technical coordination and communications are timely and complete. QUALIFICATIONS: \xc2\xb7 Construction & Technology Management Diploma, Architectural Technology Diploma. or bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in construction management and/or engineering (P. Eng) preferred \xc2\xb7 Previous technical experience preferred. Entry level personnel considered \xc2\xb7 Registered (or eligible for registration) as a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) or Engineer in Training (EIT) \xc2\xb7 Working knowledge of all the construction trades and how they are independent of each other to strategize and sequence the work activities in a complex/fast moving construction environment \xc2\xb7 Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering and vendor specifications and drawings \xc2\xb7 Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal skills \xc2\xb7 Ability to assume responsibility and to interface and communicate effectively with others \xc2\xb7 Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook), project management, and scheduling software This is a full-time position, with salary and benefits which commensurate with qualifications and experience.
