Position Overview

We're seeking an experienced

Sign Installer

--ideally with senior-level expertise--to lead and execute complex installations for architectural, wayfinding, and digital signage projects. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on challenging, hands-on work, enjoys mentoring others, and excels in dynamic environments where no two days are the same.

While leadership experience is highly valued, we welcome skilled installers at all levels who are eager to learn and grow. Bonus points if you have experience with

AV systems, lighting programming, or digital signage integration

--but it's not required.

Key Responsibilities

Install a wide range of signage, including architectural, wayfinding, digital LED, and entertainment displays. Interpret blueprints, site plans, and technical drawings to ensure precise installations. Lead on-site installation teams, coordinating tasks and maintaining safety standards. Perform electrical connections and basic troubleshooting for illuminated signage. Collaborate with project managers, fabricators, and designers to ensure seamless execution. Operate tools and equipment safely, including lifts, drills, and specialized installation gear. Maintain a clean, organized worksite and uphold Atec's commitment to quality and safety. Mentor junior installers, sharing best practices and technical knowledge.

Qualifications

Experience:

3+ years in signage installation (architectural, wayfinding, or digital signage preferred). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and site plans. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment. Comfortable working at heights and operating lifts (Working at Heights certification preferred). Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in fast-paced environments. Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied conditions (indoor/outdoor). Leadership experience or willingness to mentor others is a strong asset. Bonus: Experience with AV systems, lighting programming, or digital signage integration. Valid driver's license required; willingness to travel within GTA and occasionally across Canada.
