Canadian Choice Home Improvements Inc. is expanding its offerings to include siding solutions, and we are looking for an experienced and highly organized Siding Project Coordinator to build and oversee the workflow for this division.
This is a foundational role: the successful candidate will be the primary coordinator for all siding projects, ensuring smooth execution from the sales handoff through material ordering, scheduling, installation, and final completion.
If you have hands-on experience in siding installations, exterior renovations, or managing siding projects - and you excel in organization, communication, and operational coordination - this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Siding Workflow Ownership
Oversee all siding projects from contract approval through completion
Acts as the central point of coordination for siding-related tasks across Sales, Project Managers, Installers, and Vendors
Create and refine internal processes for siding workflow as the division grows
Sales & Project Manager Collaboration
Review siding contracts, scope, and documents provided by Sales
Identify missing details, discrepancies, or feasibility concerns
Request clarifications or corrections before moving project forward
Provide Sales with guidance regarding siding standards, limitations, material considerations, and installation expectations
Measurements, Data Collection & Verification
Coordinate measurement appointments with qualified personnel
Ensure all required job-site details are collected:
o Measurements
o Existing cladding removal needs
o Underlaying requirements
o Flashing needs
o Soffit/fascia interactions
o Time specifications
o Window/door tie-ins
o Access and safety considerations
Verify that final measurements align with contract scope before ordering
Material Ordering & Vendor Coordination
Determine all required materials for each siding project
Obtain quotes verify lead times, and place orders with approved suppliers
Track shipments, confirm delivery dates, and resolve discrepancies
Maintain an organized list of materials per job to avoid shortages, substitutions, or delays
Installation Planning & Scheduling
Assign installation dates based on material delivery, installer availability, site conditions, and project priority
Work directly with siding installers to review:
o Project scope
o Change notes
o Site photos
o Safety considerations
Prepare installers with complete job packages to ensure smooth execution
On-Site Coordination Support
Coordinate site readiness checks where needed
Flag potential issues before installation: rotted sheathing, missing insulation, structural concerns, etc.
Troubleshoot basic on-site questions from installers regarding scope or materials
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure installations meet company standards, manufacturer specifications, and general building principles for exterior cladding
Review installer photos and reports
Flag deficiencies early and coordinate necessary corrections
Customer Communication & Expectation Management
Serve as the primary office contact for siding customers
Provide updates on project status, scheduling, and material arrival
Manage customer expectations regarding timelines, lead times, and project scope
Address and escalate concerns professionally
Documentation & Administrative Excellence
Maintain complete, accurate project files including:
o Measurements
o Quotes
o Material lists
o Photos
o Scheduling notes
o Change orders
Ensure all siding data is correctly logged in internal systems/CRMs
Track project progress and follow up proactively to prevent delays
What CCHI is Looking For
Experience
Minimum 2-3 years of siding experience (installation, site coordination, estimator, or project coordination in exterior renovations)
Strong technical knowledge of siding systems: vinyl, aluminum, fibre, cement, panels, moisture management, flashing, insulation, and cladding accessories
Skills & Attributes
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Excellent communicator who can collaborate across department
Ability to read scope of work and elevation plans
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make informed decisions independently
Comfortable building processes for a growing division
Strong understanding of workflow management and construction timelines
Ability to anticipate issues and flag them early
CRM or scheduling software experience is an asset
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving processes
