Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Installer to join our dynamic team in a company that is growing at a good pace. The installer will be responsible for the installation of various products and systems, vinyl, wood, cedar, Hardie Plank siding to name a few, on single-family dwellings as well as small height condo buildings, ensuring high-quality workmanship. This role requires that you own and use your own tools, owning scaffolding is a benefit, have liability insurance and Work Safe BC. The Installer will work closely with VPS owner and office staff, and clients to ensure that all installations are completed efficiently, on time and to specifications.

Duties

Perform installations of products as named above, including but not limited to siding, windows at time, small repairs to structure. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials. Conduct heavy lifting as required during the installation process, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Apply caulking and finishing touches to ensure a polished final product. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot any issues that arise during the installation process. Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the duration of projects and ensure cleanup at completion of project. Communicate effectively with the owner to understand the client's needs and provide updates on progress as required.

Qualifications

Proven experience in installation or a related maintenance person role is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) safely and efficiently. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools commonly used in construction and installation work. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. A background in construction is a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
