About the Role
In the position of Shuttle Driver, the successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting employees or goods between designated locations on a set route or schedule. The ideal candidate is dependable, punctual and safety-focused.
ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
Key Responsibilities
Operate company shuttle vehicles in a safe and responsible manner. Transport passengers or cargo between specified pick-up and drop-off points. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle. Report any vehicle maintenance or safety issues promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shuttle vehicle. Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations. Maintain a log of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and passenger counts if required. Communicate effectively with supervisory staff regarding route changes, delays, or incidents. Provide friendly, courteous service to all passengers. Additional duties as assigned.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract. Previous commercial driving or shuttle experience is an asset.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
Working Conditions:
Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays. Must be comfortable driving in varying weather conditions. * May involve sitting for long periods.
