Job Description

We are looking for an energetic Shunt Driver/Yard Driver with a class 1 license for our heavy-duty truck and trailer dealership located in Acheson Industrial Area.

Key Responsibilities

Operate trucks and trailers within company property, complying with all safety guidelines. Pick up or deliver units from customers Performs service duties such as checking oil, coolant, fuel, air in tires and cleaning/washing daily on company owned equipment reporting any deficiencies to supervisor Perform pre-trip and post-trip checklist inspections of rental equipment Perform daily inspection of overhead cranes, forklift, and Bobcat skid steer Responsible for fueling and the basic checks of system operations of tractor/trailers Complete required paperwork and communicate clearly (verbally and in writing) with supervisors and associates Yard Maintenance - all seasons Responsible for keeping yard organized and maintained Willingness and ability to wash and clean truck and trailer equipment Ability to pass a Hayworth Drive test in yard

Requirements

Clean Class 1 License Two to three years' experience yard switcher/yard jockey Experience on forklift Operation of a Bobcat an asset Fast paced/high volume work environment Ability to safely walk, reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties Ability to lift to 50 lbs. occasionally Willingness to learn shop tasks Must be organized and able to manage time effectively Ability to take direction Being self-motivated, a team player and having a good attitude are greatly appreciated by the company
