Summary

Shunt Truck Driver is vital in ensuring the smooth movement of containers and freight within our facilities and between locations. Based in Surrey, this position offers an opportunity to be part of a dedicated team committed to safety and efficiency Keeping our yard organized and clean.

Responsibilities

Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated locations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload freight, utilizing forklift equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents. Assist in the operation of heavy equipment when required. Conduct minor automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles as needed. Follow all safety protocols and regulations while on the road and at job sites.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements. Proven experience operating shunt trucks or similar equipment. Knowledge of safety procedures related to yard operations. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks. Strong communication skills and team-oriented attitude. Ability to perform physical tasks including loading/unloading cargo. Familiarity with container handling equipment is a plus. Commitment to safety and punctuality.

Pay: $19.67-$24.00 per hour
