Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

Ensures raw materials are delivered in a timely and safe manner to different plant locations. The shunt driver is responsible for the organization of all raw material storage areas. The incumbent will be an integral part of the inventory team.

Hours

3pm to 11pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Raw material storage management at all plant sites and supply to inventory stores. Responsible for full receiving duties. Inventory and cycle count responsibilities. Dunnage management and organization for effective supply to plant floor. Manage material using the FIFO (first in first out) method. Assist the shipping department with loading various customer orders as required. Utilize 6S organization and visual management - Everything in its place, and everything has a labelled location. Responsible for waste bin management, recycling control, skid control and organization of the yard. Work with Materials Manager daily for replenishment stock items Transfer molds and other good as needed to plant sites as well as customers as required. Pick list use to pull product from warehouse storage locations with min/max levels of product and return unused product to storage as required. Other duties as required.

A) EDUCATION

Minimum of a High School Education required

B) TRAINING

Basic knowledge of IQMS & MRP systems - preferred*
Current or previous lift truck certification - preferred*

C) EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in plastic injection molding facility - preferred*
Prior lift truck Experience - preferred*
5S management and maintenance experience - preferred*

D) ADDITIONAL REQUIRMENTS

Valid G License with clean driving record

WORKING CONDITIONS

Driving a 5 ton truck on a regular basis Environmental conditions including working inside and outside - all seasons Overtime may be required and must be available for inventory support as needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to lift up to 25kgs on a regular basis Must be able to bend and climb without restriction
