Shunt Class 1/az Driver
Job Description
This shunt schedule runs Monday to Thursday. Shift is 1600 to 0230 with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Hourly rate: $22.25 + $2-night premium
Must be Flexible to fill-in other shifts when needed
Hours of work might change from time to time according to operational demands
Reporting directly to Shunt Coordinator then Property Service Supervisor
Essential responsibilities are trailer movement, trailer staging, trailer quick-checks, and trailer greasing, along with other general shop/yard duties
Responsible for operation of the forklift and assisting on the dock when needed. Training will be provided.
Works closely with the Fleet Maintenance Manager, Highway and City dispatch, maintenance and the warehouse on daily shunting activities
Candidate Profile
Company Driver residing in Mississauga or immediate area Tractor-trailer over the road driving experience, minimum 12 months Previous shunt truck driving experience is an asset Well organized and possess excellent customer service skills Comfortable with smartphone technology for emailing and texting Comfortable backing in all manner of tight spaces and locations Valid Class 1/AZ License is required Reliable, flexible, and punctual
