The Royal Canadian Legion Slovak Branch 129 is looking for a dynamic, friendly, reliable and experienced short order cook.

We are looking for a person with kitchen experience and knowledge of safe food handling practices. If you believe this might be you then we would enjoy meeting with you to discuss the opportunity.

We are offering 25 to 30 hours per week with the opportunity for additional hours

We are looking for someone who could work in our restaurant

Your tasks would include:

- Clean and sanitize kitchen and work areas.

- Food preparation

- Assisting with all aspects of the kitchen utilizing your knowledge of Safe Food Handling guidelines.

- There is potential as well for hours in our catering kitchen

- Prepare and cook bar menu items in compliance with established recipes and standards

- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain high-quality service.

- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines

- Other duties as assigned.

The skills we are looking for:

- Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or food service setting.

- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and presentation.

- Understanding of food handling and safety procedures.

- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.

- Strong communications skills to coordinate with team members effectively.

Must have safe food handling certificate or ability to secure before hiring.
