We are seeking a reliable and motivated Shop/Logistics Associate with a strong focus on shipping and receiving to join our team. This role is key to ensuring the smooth flow of materials, tools, and equipment in and out of our shop. Responsibilities include coordinating shipments, handling deliveries, maintaining inventory, and assisting with daily shop operations. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Follow and participate in health & safety policies, procedures, and documentation (FLHAs, SWPs, FOCs, Toolbox meetings, WHMIS, etc.).
Perform shipping and receiving duties: sorting, packaging, labeling, crating, and preparing protective foam for shipments.
Inspect, verify, and document incoming and outgoing materials.
Organize and maintain inventory of shop tools, materials, and equipment.
Perform pick-ups, deliveries, and hot shots within Edmonton and across Alberta.
Support coverall inventory management, sorting, and organization.
Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean, organized shop environment.
Handle materials within the shop and yard.
Wash and detail vehicles (interior and exterior).
Able to work overtime when requested
Operate forklift and overhead crane as required.
Carry out other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
High School Diploma
Forklift & Overhead Crane Certification - Required
Experience:
1-2 years experience in shipping and receiving, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred
Skills & Abilities:
Basic reading and writing skills
Knowledge of shop safety practices
Ability to perform physically demanding work and work in various weather conditions
Strong communication skills and team player attitude
Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and demands
Physically capable of driving/sitting for extended periods and performing light to heavy physical duties throughout the day
Knowledge of safe operation of hand tools, power tools, forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, rigging equipment, pressure washers, and cleaning solvents
Punctual, dependable, and strong work ethic
