Job Description

Our Calgary branch is currently seeking a Shop Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our heavy equipment service shop. This position requires a Red Seal Heavy Equipment Mechanic with strong diagnostic and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will be confident managing a team, coordinating field service, and making real-time decisions to keep our fleet running efficiently.

What you will do...

Supervise 7 heavy-duty mechanics and 3 COE support staff Manage work order scheduling, priorities, and completion tracking Coordinate and dispatch field service calls in the Calgary region Provide technical phone support and diagnostics to reduce service calls Oversee parts inventory, ordering, and receiving processes Track fleet availability and recommend disposal decisions when necessary Monitor and control shop expenses and operational costs Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with our customers Ensure safe, efficient, and productive shop performance daily Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills

Ability to safely lift up to 50 LBs Ability to operate large, heavy machinery Ability to read and comprehend the standards of operating procedures, owner's manuals and product/warning labels Customer service Must possess solid written and verbal communication skills and be able to perform computer operations Understands the importance of time management, standards of operating procedures, owner's manuals and product/warning labels

Conditions of Employment

Journeyman Off Road Certification/HET Red Seal in Heavy Duty

. Proficient with computer systems and parts processing workflows Valid Class 5 driver's license Clean and current driver's abstract (to be provided upon request) Previous shop supervisory or lead-hand experience

Pay:

$100,000 plus quarterly profit share
