Shop Labourer Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, with 49 years’ experience, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction.

Job Type: Full Time, Seasonal Schedule: 10+ Hours/day, Saturdays and Sundays as required, Schedule as per Operational Requirements, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week Location: Edmonton and Surrounding Area’s (non-camp position, required to live in the area) Essential: Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions
Requirements:

• Personal Reliable Vehicle
• CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support

Pre-employment:

• Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test)
• Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation

Shop Labourer Responsibilities:

• Clean and prepare shop, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials.
• Assist with inventory control in the shop.
• Assist professional trades as required.
• Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use.
• Load and unload supplies from trucks manually and at times may be asked to use equipment.

• Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
