We are looking for a reliable, hands-on

Shop Laborer / Facilities Caretaker

to support day-to-day operations in our manufacturing shop. This is a

jack-of-all-trades

role ideal for someone who enjoys variety, staying busy, and keeping a shop running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Operate forklift to unload and move large steel components (forklift certification required) Support shop production by assisting mechanics, welders, and fabricators Perform general facility upkeep including emptying garbage, sweeping, and maintaining a clean work environment Pick up and drop off parts around Calgary (valid driver's license required) Assist with overhead crane operation (crane ticket an asset but not required) Perform minor repairs or adjustments to shop tools and equipment Help with basic mechanical tasks and general labor as needed Ensure safe practices are followed at all times

Qualifications

Forklift certification

and proven, confident experience operating a forklift with large steel loads

Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license

with clean driving record Experience in a shop, yard, or industrial environment preferred Overhead

crane ticket is an asset

Strong mechanical aptitude (comfortable troubleshooting or repairing small shop equipment) Physically capable of lifting, moving, and working on your feet Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
