Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Shop Helper/Production Assistant for our indoor playground manufacturing facility located in Port Coquitlam. In this role, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production team and ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. This is a hands-on position that requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to completing tasks.

Responsibilities:

Support the production team in the assembly of indoor playground equipment. Follow instructions from supervisors and experienced team members to contribute to the efficient workflow. Material Handling: Receive and organize raw materials and components. Transport materials to designated workstations using appropriate equipment or tools. Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and equipment. Report any faulty tools or equipment to the supervisor for timely repairs or replacements. Quality Control: Support in Inspecting finished products for quality and report any defects or discrepancies. Follow established quality standards to ensure the production of high-quality indoor playground equipment. Workplace Safety: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures. Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately to the supervisor. General Shop Assistance: Perform general cleaning tasks to ensure a tidy and safe work environment. Assist with various tasks as needed to support the overall operation of the manufacturing facility.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction setting is preferred but not required. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment. Basic knowledge of hand tools and a willingness to learn and develop new skills. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

This position involves physical labor in an indoor playground manufacturing environment.
