Job Description
Essential functions
Assist in daily operations in panel shop.
Assembles equipment according to blueprints, diagrams, and specifications, using hand tools, power tools, precision instruments, and test equipment.
Create and print labels and wire tags.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Snow shoveling/grass cutting as required.
Assist in shipping/receiving as needed.
Perform minor building maintenance and repair duties as needed.
Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Other duties as assigned.
Competencies
Previous electrical and controls experience or training an asset.
Previous panel building experience an asset.
Experience using hand and power tools.
Proven ability to manage daily workloads effectively and identify and prioritize issues of an urgent nature with ease.
Effective organizational skills for documentation and record keeping.
Able to work in a team environment and be self-directed when required.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in with basic computer use.
Must be fluent in reading speaking and writing in English.
Ability to lift up to 70lbs.
Valid driver's license.
